Britta Denman, DO
Britta Lee Denman, DO, is a board-certified physician and infectious disease consultant with expertise spanning across infectious disease management and tropical medicine. A graduate of the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine, Dr. Denman’s approach to care is guided by a personal commitment to excellence and a passion for making a meaningful impact in the lives of her patients and the broader medical community.
Dr. Denman completed an infectious disease fellowship at Fletcher Allen Health Care, University of Vermont. She went on to manage medical teams, driving healthcare improvement in leadership roles that include serving as Vice Chief of Staff and then Chief of Staff at Capital Medical Center. She also founded Medica XXI, a nonprofit dedicated to culturally appropriate healthcare education.
Dr. Denman has been repeatedly recognized for her contributions to community health initiatives, non-profit organizations and international publications. Her research on emerging and neglected tropical diseases, HIV-associated dementia and mucosal immunity have been published in Experimental Biology and Medicine, and presented at international conferences.
Outside her professional achievements, Dr. Denman has strong family connections and enjoys hobbies such as gardening, bird watching, and playing the ukulele. She also enjoys spending time with her pets, and has authored a book about one of them, highlighting his life on her family farm.
