She served as Chief Surgical Resident at Genesys Regional Medical Center and successfully ran her own practice for six years. She has been recognized for her leadership in both clinical settings and community education, volunteering with the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine and receiving accolades from the Cambridge Who's Who Registry of Executives, Professionals, and Entrepreneurs for her leadership and achievements.

Outside of her clinical work, Dr. Winkleman is a sports enthusiast and former athlete, drawing from her personal experience in high school and college sports to relate to patients, especially those dealing with sports-related injuries. She enjoys watching college football with her husband and daughter, and taking walks with their two German Shepherds. If she could spend a day doing anything outside of medicine, she would use her passion for color and organization to decorate homes and stage scenes.
