Lorelee Stock, MD, MS, PT
Dr. Lorelee Stock is a seasoned medical professional with an extensive background in sports medicine, family practice, and physical therapy. She earned her Medical Degree from the University of South Dakota School of Medicine, along with specialized training in Sports Medicine through an Accredited Fellowship at the Center for Orthopedics and Sports Medicine in San Francisco. Dr. Stock is certified in Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
Dr. Stock’s career spans a range of diverse medical settings, from serving as Chief of Specialty Medicine at the VA in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, to working as an ER staff physician at Brookings Health System. Her experience also extends to significant leadership positions, being elected as Chief of Staff and Supervisor of Outpatient Services for the Rapid City Indian Health Service, where she oversaw key initiatives in occupational medicine, rehabilitation, and chronic pain management.
An advocate for advancing medical knowledge, Dr. Stock has contributed to medical education and mentorship, serving as faculty at the South Dakota School of Medicine and leading sports medicine fellowship programs. Her research on the use of electrical stimulation for rehabilitation has added to advancements in non-invasive treatment options for joint and muscle pain.
In addition to her clinical and academic contributions, Dr. Stock is committed to community health. She has served as a team physician for numerous athletic teams and events, including the San Francisco Ballet School and the American Tennis Professionals. She is also the founder of the Virginia Sports Medicine Annual Sports Medicine Program, an initiative focused on promoting sports-related health. Her passion for sports also extends to hobbies such as running, skiing, mountain biking, and horseback riding. She also enjoys practicing stained glass work.
Dr. Stock combines her extensive background in treating a wide range of conditions with her ability to provide urgent care, supporting patients in achieving optimal health and well-being. The one piece of advice she lives by is treating others how she wants to be treated with kindness, love and laughter.
