Pathology & Laboratory Medicine
Accurate results. Better care.
Pathology is at the heart of modern medical diagnosis. At Hoskinson Health and Wellness, our board-certified pathologists and laboratory professionals work behind the scenes to deliver precise answers that guide your care. Our experts are specially trained to study diseases by examining blood, tissues, and other body samples with the main goal of ensuring every diagnosis is accurate and reliable.
Our Pathology Services
Our laboratory offers a broad range of diagnostic services that include:
- Anatomic Pathology: We examine tissue samples (biopsies and surgical specimens) to detect and confirm disease. For example, a surgical pathologist may examine a tumor during surgery to help the surgeon decide whether additional tissue removal is needed.
- Laboratory Medicine: We perform routine lab tests on blood, urine, and other fluids to assess your health. Our clinical laboratories perform essential tests on blood, urine, and other fluids to evaluate your health. These include blood counts and chemistry panels to detect, monitor, and manage disease.
- Hematopathology: Our laboratory team diagnoses conditions such as anemia, clotting disorders, and blood cancers by studying blood cells and marrow samples in detail.
- Molecular Diagnostics: Through advanced genetic and molecular testing, we analyze DNA and gene alterations to detect inherited disorders, cancers, and infections. These tests guide treatments by identifying mutations or viral DNA in your samples.
- Autopsy Services: Our pathology team provides a range of autopsy services, including medical autopsies, forensic autopsies, and specialized examinations when required.
Behind the Scenes, Supporting Your Care
When your doctor orders tests or examines biopsy samples, the information comes from the careful work of our pathology team. Our pathologists collaborate closely with surgeons, oncologists, radiologists, primary care doctors, and others to confirm diagnoses and suggest treatment options.
By combining our lab findings with the rest of your medical information, we help ensure you get the right treatment. Accuracy is our promise. We follow strict quality checks including accreditations and proficiency testing so that you can trust your results.
When Pathology Supports You
You may need pathology services if your care involves:
- Cancer diagnosis or monitoring
- Biopsies and surgical procedures
- Chronic illness management
- Genetic testing for inherited conditions
- Blood or organ function testing
