Welcoming Pathologist and Hematopathologist, Dr. Lydia Christiansen

September 30, 2025 [Gillette, WY] – Hoskinson Health & Wellness Clinic is proud to announce the addition of Lydia Christiansen, M.D., board-certified pathologist and hematopathologist, to its growing team of medical specialists.

With nearly two decades of experience, Dr. Christiansen has served communities across Wyoming and beyond in diagnostic and leadership roles, including Laboratory Medical Director, and President of pathology practices, and consulting pathologist for multiple hospitals and specialty clinics.

She earned her medical degree from the University of Nebraska Medical Center before completing her residency and Chief Residency in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at the Medical University of South Carolina, where she also served as Chief Resident. She then went on to complete a fellowship in Hematopathology at the same institution.

Passionate about the role of pathology in solving medical “mysteries,” Dr. Christiansen emphasizes that every diagnostic test represents a critical step in patient care.

“The best part of my work is when all the pieces come together to form a complete, irrefutable answer and a clear path forward for the patient and their clinical care team,” she says.

As an advocate for women’s health, Dr. Christiansen actively participates in professional organizations including the American Society for Clinical Pathology and the College of American Pathologists. She firmly believes that the best outcomes emerge when medical expertise and patient experiences work together:

“The healthcare provider is the expert on healthcare, but the patient is the one and only expert on their own personal health and wellness. The best outcomes are when these two experts work together, side by side.”

Raised on a farm in central Nebraska, Dr. Christiansen is now proud to call Wyoming home again. In her free time, she enjoys gardening, hiking, exploring new areas and spending quality time with her family.
